  • Vodafone B970 unlocked but router cannot connect to t-mobile

    Good evening,

As being a newbie I have the following issue:

I have a vodafone B970 from vodafone but want to use it on t-mobile network.

I have bought 15 credits to unlock this router:

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0509

    Detecting card :

    selection :
    manufacturer - Huawei modems
    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    Found modem : B970
    Model : Huawei B970/E970
    IMEI : 352335020068122
    Firmware : 256.11.10.04.111
    Dashboard version : VMCLite_9.3.3.10523_RC3
    Serial NR. : KQ7NAB18B1000259
    SIM Lock status : unlocked

However when I use Mobile partner I can see that the B970 sees the T-mobile network, however it does not login.

In the vodafone dashboard via 192.168.1.1 I cannot modify the vodafone network settings.
    What should I do now:
I have downloaded the latest dashboard and fw from

    however:
firmware update says: no router found
    dashboard: error with zipfile UTPS11.002.03.21.03.zip

    any advise is very welcome
    thanks

      dashboard update fails

      Hi All
when I run teh dashboard update tool UTPS11.002.03.21.03
it finds the B970 but when I start the update it says:
      unexpected error occured.

Do i have to follow some procedure before starting the update ?
      factory reset ?

      please advise

        update failed

        hi gues,
a factory reset did the trick.
dashboard update succeeded, however when i goto 192.168.1.1 I still see teh same dashboard (vodafone)

sorry to bother but i still do not understand
        thx

You can try to use Vodafone dashboard also. Just need to create new profile with new provider settings. Do not modify existing profile. Create new.

            Yeah

            Thanks, this did the trick.
I simply choose another existing profile and it works !

Now I am struggling with MTU as some sites do not work correctly

thank you very much for your help, |I did not need your dc-unlocker credits but you can keep the money for this advise

            thx
