  • K3765 disconnects in HSPA

I've unlocked k3765 using in 3.5G network with dashboard version 16.001.06.01.500 and firmware 11.126.03.07.00.

The problem is connection getting disconnected automatically if my download speed is in the range of 500 - 700 KBps. its getting disconnected every 10-20 secs and i've connect it again. This is not a problem if the download speeds are in the range of 300 -400 KBps only if its crosses 500 KBps and that too consistent, then connection disconnects.

This problem doesnt exists if i use my mobile(HTC Legend) for downloading data. Can any one please suggest some solution for this? I assume if i update the latest firmware, then it might solve. if thats the case please guide me to download latest firmware. Thanks in advance

I've updated firmware to 11.126.03.09.00 and unfortunately still disconnection continues and now i feel its more often. Can anyone help me to findout the old firmwares for K3765? like 11.126.03.07.00 or previous one?

And also i found, disconnection happens when the device is getting heating up when its downloading in high throughput and due to this its disconnecting

Seem to be an overload working of the modem dongle.
Please try into a free usb port of a usb powered hub.
May be modem dongle need more power for this performance.
      11.126.03.07.00 you find on dc-files.com

Sorry its my mistake while mentioning FW version. Actually i was looking FW version 11.126.03.06.00 or earlier, but this i couldnt find anywhere . If anyone having then please upload.

I will try your other suggestion, but that disconnection starts to happen very frequently after 10/15 minutes. I mean it works fine for first 10-15 minutes, then device getting heated-up and starts disconnecting for every 1-2 minutes, but this doesnt happen when i just browse net(where data download rate is very less) .

BTW now im using K3765 with ASUS RT-N16 and there also its same behaviour

Sometimes I happen to have Huawei modems that apparently work, but quickly become very-hot after a few minutes of use, and then release the connection (as if it were physically removed the key). From my experience I realized that this is not the firmware/dashboard versions that causes this, but of some hardware malfunction.

Thanks Fakiro, i will update this firmware and post the result. BTW how good ZTE mf636 comparing with K3765, especially for this problem? Do you've any idea on which USB 3.5G modems are good and dont have these kind of issues?

Hm...You are right, changing the firmware doesn't solve this issue. Its i guess due to overheat and really dont know how to solve this .

Its really annoying me, since my 3G provider gives shared IP address and downloading from file hosting services(rapidshare,hotfile...) is very tough. Because most of the time it will say that im already downloading and rarely i get free slot, in that this problem of disconnecting

E1750 is better because don't have problem that have k3765.
K3765 to work with a generic mobile partner lost the microsoft driver certification, and u must confirm to install them manually.
                    k3765 is near E176

Hi Fakiro, thanks for your reply.
Now i've set the limit on my download speed to 3600 kbps(approx) and after this setting there is no disconnection connnection dropout. In this setting my download speed hogs around 460-470 KBPS and this is the optimal setting where i can download without any disconnection. Even if i increase download speed setting to 4000 Kbps, then again problem comes out .

So now really dont know whether my K3765 doesn't support 7.2 Mbps as per the spec or my network doesnt support 7.2 Mbps as advertised.

My doubt is, if my network not supporting then how it allows to download in the range of 700-750 KBPS

You're lucky to have this speed service.
It's hard get to touch 7.2Mbps....it's the hardware that disconnect you not the network operator
