Huawei E272 3G Modem Unlock Problems

I would be pleased if somebody could help me with a Vodophone Huawei E272 mobile internet dongle with a T Moblie sim card. DC Unlocker has found the Modem and says that it is unlocked(Sim Unlocked). But, when I connect it to my PC and Mobile Partner I get the message ´You carn´t connect before you register on an available networt. I have tried to register the T Mobile network in Mobile Partner (options/network) but it will not register.

Also, Mobile Partner does not ask for the unlock code when I connect with out the sim card, is there a way of forcing Mobile Partner to ask for the code? I am really frustrated with this dongle which worked with a T.Mobile card to start with but is now refusing to register my sim card. any idea´s please. aggie

Are you detecting modem with not original sim inserted when check lock status using dc-unlocker? If so, then modem is unlocked for sure.
What conenction software do you use? Is it branded (customized by provider)? With unlocked modem you need to use not customized software and enter your new provider conenction settings (APN, username and others).

Thanks for getting back to me. So, the dongle is unlocked after all. The software I use to connect is Mobile Partner. I disable the vodaphone softwear that loads when the dongle is connected, All the data user name, password, APN and provider details have been loaded onto Mobile Partner and when the sim is put into another dongle and used with Mobile Partner it works fine. Can you recommend uncustomised software that would work with the E272. aggie

I downloaded Mobile Partner and walk & Web as suggested, filled in the t-Mobile data and plugged in the unlocked Vodaphone dongle. But, keep getting the message you cannot connect before you register an available network. I am now at a complete loss as what to do next. My old vodaphone dongle with a T-Moble sim card works with my computer but not my new E272. Please Vincentas can you suggest anything else? aggie

Are you sure your sim is working? Also check, if you see the network level before connecting.

Yes the sims working because I am now using it now in my old Huawei dongle. Also, There is no signal showing, is this the network level you mean.

No, The Hauwei Vodaphone E272 I bought on ebay and the seller said it needed to be unlocked. However, when I put my T Mobile sim card in low and behold it signed on through Mobile Partner and connected to the internet. I could not believe my luck at 7.2 mbs. But, this was short lived and it stopped working so I had to fall back on my old dongle with the same sim card. I download DC Unlocker and put the T Mobile sim card in the vodaphone dongle and it found it straight away so according to theory it was unlocked. But I cannot get it work with my T Mobile card and Mobile Partener or walk & Webb. Thanks for persevering with this problem as I am getting pretty frustrated. aggie

Then you should try other provider sim. If modem accept more than 1 provider sim cards, then it is unlocked for sure.

Sorry to be a pain. But I have only got one sim card (T Mobile) which I am trying to use in my Vodaphone dongle. Are you now saying that I need another providers card like 03, orange. or vodaphone. to see whether or not they work? A vodaphone sim should work because I am using a vodaphone dongle but this will not tell me that it is unlocked or will it? aggie

Yes, then you would be sure that modem is not locked a and that you sim is working and that modem see sim card.
