I am trying to get a SIM from Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/GRPS data card to work in my E585. I've run the unlocker SW and despite some errors the SIM is being picked up by the E585 device. The issue is that it then loops around a connect / disconnect cycle. I can't seem to get any more info on the failure.
Sorry if it's too idiotic, but you asked for it :P
Type in your browser: "http://3.home/indexf.asp" (without the quotes); scroll down to "Change your settings."; User name says "Admin", type "Admin" (without the quotes) as a password. Under "Manage Settings" click on ">Advanced settings"; click on "Connection Settings"; click on "Profile Settings". As "Profile Name" you can put whatever you want, I'd put the name of my ISP - MTel BG. "Connection Number" should be grayed out (at least mine is), if it's not you have to check in your GSM carrier's web site for that number. "User Name", "Password" are blank, because my ISP doesn't require one, again you have to check this in your GSM carrier's web site. "Authentication" mine is set to "NONE". "APN" here you have to set it from "Dynamic" to "Static" and you'll have to put the gateway address of your ISP, mine is "inet-gprs.mtel.bg". Click "Save" and that's it I hope that this would fix your problem.
