If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.

Yes every thing seem to be install correctly, I can use the modem on Pc with no problem, but some thing is strang, the port driver is "pc ui interface" instead of "pc application interface" how can I get the pc to detect it as a diagnostic interface, do you have a generic driver for it. Thanks

Drivers should install from modem. Check, if no other huawei modem drivers are installed. If so, then remove all previous installed drivers and install only for this device.
Could you try other computer also?

It look like no one is sharing, all they said was done successfully with win7 32 bit, check the driver blah blah, if it successfully done, why not share the driver.

just installed all drivers with sim card in and unlocked using dc unlocker dongle.first time no probs.used the virtual cd to load all then unlocked.then went to 192.168.1.1 and went onto web interface for miner adjustments.

Hello all , I have tried these methods on Win 7 (2 PC's) the primary reason i think it will not work is because a diagnostic port is not opened .
Only the application port , perhaps there are different types of firmware / drivers on different modems .

see below , and the error received if i blank out the reference to the diag port in the software .
If i leave a port number in (there is no diagnostic port open) i receive a card not found error .

                  Found modem : E585
                  Model : Huawei E585

                  Firmware : 1026.11.84.03.503sp02
SIM Lock status : Locked (Card Lock)

                  Unlocking, please wait ...

                  unlock failed !

                  (error code 24)

Any ideas ? The modem is a Vodafone Australia model

Error 24 means port unavialable. Try not to set up ports, but use autodetect.

it must be the firmware from austraila .you might have to use e5830 drivers to detect ur modem.i suppose it might help.otherwise your stuck until their is a new firmware.

just run the software with the simcard in till everything loads then exit .do unlock after exit.make shure you have checked that ports are seen in device manager.before unlocking.i used both win xp and win 7 without any problems.

                              what exactly your problem exist?

so you mean your E585 could work fine under the xp and win7 OS, but not work with MAC? my E585 is working fine, it is 3 Logo, but unlocked from the provider, i dont have a try with Mac OS,
