I've unlocked my UK 3 Mobile branded 585 using the software on this site and all appeared OK.* I no longer get INVALID SIM message when I insert a Vodafone SIM (as I did when modem was locked), but I am still having problems.
After turning on the modem it is slow to start and whist it may eventually connect to Voda UK I am not able to properly use the internet (web page loading is slow and the modem eventually disconnects).* I am also unable to access 192.168.1.1.
When I re-insert my 3 SIM all is OK: modem boots fast, connects to 3 quickly and I am able to surf the we.
I have also checked my APN settings and these are correct, i.e. vodafone is user=web, pass=web, APN=internet, CHAP.* In addition I have compared against my working E5830, which was also unlocked here.* This device has no such problems and shows a full 3G Vodafone signal.
