  • huawei e270 dead after firmware upgrade

    Hi,
    here's my problem.
I upgraded the dashboard of my huawei e270 and it went well.
Then I run the firmware updgrade, but it went bad. In the middle of the "download program" it frezeed and never started again. Then the program crashed.
Now when I plug in the modem, the computer doesn't recognize it, it won't even light up. If I try to flash it again I get error messages, like if the modem wasn't plugged in the usb port.

Is there any way to recover it?

never disconnect modem during upgrade process!!
If process freeze, open "control panel">"system">"Device Manager">than click on "detects hardware changes".
This forces the system to recognize the hardware (to be executed when the process is blocked or need many minutes to detect it).
Usually modem fails due any usb-com ports is not set correctly.
When you want to upgrade dashboard and firmware, please after upgrade first, disconnect modem from usb, wait a moment, and after re-connect modem (in same usb port) for upgrade second.
