  • Optus E169 On Virgin Not Working

I have an E169 that was on the optus network (Australia). I have unlocked it and I am now trying to use my sim from Virgin (who run through the optus network).

I think my problem lies with incorrect Profile settings. I have seen people say the APN should be "VirginBroadband". I've tried that with no luck.

I know this is probably a fairly simple fix
    Help would be great.
    Thanks

What connection software do you use? Is it branded (customized by provider)? With unlocked modem you need to use not customized software and enter your new provider conenction settings (APN, username and others).

I am using non branded software. Im using the Huawei non branded Mobile Partner. I am just not sure of the Profile settings. I thought they would be the the same, if not very similar to the optus settings, as Virgin runs through the Optus network. But it still will not connect.

Hi thanks for the replys. On that list of settings there wasnt actually one specific for Virgin, so i tried the optus one it recommended and still no luck. This is the message I get when I run DC unlocker and below that is the message I get when I try to connect with my virgin sim in the dongle. Also it still seems to want to connect to WCDMA Optus even when I have my virgin sim in the dongle. Like I said I know Virgin runs through the Optus network but I thought it would say WCDMA Virgin. So it's like even when I have the Virgin sim in it's still locked to automatically trying to connect to Optus or something

          DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0565

This is the message I get when I try to connect with Virgin sim in dongle

Error 619: A connection to the remote computer could not be established, so the port used for this connection was closed.

Thanks for your time. The help is greatly apreciarted.

If dc-unlocker writes that device is unlocked, means it is unlocked.
Error 619 is connection settings error.
