I have tried to unlock my Mi-fi and get the following message

However when I try an alternative sim (is currently 3G and have tried Vodaphone) it says - Invalid SIM

(I have blanked out some of my information)

What am I doing wrong please?

Is detect done with incorrect sim inserted? Only with incorrect sim inserted to device you wil lsee real lock status.

I have tried to buy the credits as a new user but it wont let me get past the first page - I know I need 15 credits to unlock E585 but

on the page it says - New User - then some boxes for user name, email and credits but I cannot get past this page - I dont have a user name and when I try to put in one of my own it keeps blocking me - it lets me input my email and the number of credits - can you help please - this is gettig desparate now as I need it unlocked in the next two days to take away with me

Please ignore the last one - I have sorted that bit out now - it wanted my paypal information.
Mi-fi is now unlocked but when I try to access the internet with the vodaphone sim (was locked to 3) it shows up on the screen but fails to connect - it tries and then just says disconnecting - any suggestions please?

If device accept other provider sim card, then it is unlocked.
You should check the connection settings (apn, username and other). For new provider you need to enter new provider settings.
