  • Help me create custom dashboard update exe

    Hello,
I have set out on a creating a custom dashboard update for Huawei modem. My test modem is E160E This is what i have done so far:
    1. Updated modem using dashboard updater.
    2. Used Winimage to create an iso from the modem itself.
    3. Edited the iso to my liking using magiciso.
    4. converted the iso to bin hwiso2bin.
    5. injected the modified iso in binary format into the update exe using resource hacker.
    6. tried to update the modem again. the modem switches to download mode and then it says update failed.
i can provide more information and links if needed not posting them here cause last time i posted links they were removed by the admin.
Any help or inputs will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance..

I just want to add some connection profiles to the default mobile partner, so that they exist on a fresh install.

I understand how to copy the image, change it and install it back, but what file shall I change to add this profiles?

            Thanks

Goto "NetConnectPlugin" folder and edit "NetConnectConfig.xml" and "ProfileLib.prof"

There is no such folder on the vanilla image. I need to use some kind of resource editor? Or get the source and compile after?
