  • E583C unlock

I bought 15 euro credits and followed the video to unlock my modem, but the unlock button is greyed out. I have inserted a SIM from another network and the problem is not solved, the button is still greyed out.

Is the E583C supported or not ?
What did I spend 15 euros on ?

Could you copy what is detected by dc-unlocker when not original sim card is inserted to device?

It turns out, that the device is unlocked. Try a not accepted SIM and try to let it connect to a network.

          So it's unlocked ?

It's an Optus device and when I put a Vodafone SIM card in it and login, I can't create a new connection or change the APN.

The only options are to use the Optus APNs, which of course won't work with Vodafone.

          So it is locked !

No, it's unlocked. But it's webserver has unwritable settings, so what you need is an uncustomised firmware update.

You can try to create new profile, not to edit existing. Also, if you bought credits from us, we can do refund.

The "New" button is greyed out.

I can pay Optus a fee and they give a code, which is entered ...

Login and select Dialup and then Unlock SIM section
Enter unlock code and then click Apply
                Unit resets itself if successful.

How to get the refund, thanks.
