Huawei E5830 Unlocking Problems!

I am having a lot of trouble unlocking the Huawei E5830.

I have followed all the instructions and even loaded up on the correct credits and the thing is still locked on to the 3gnet APN.

My Details are as follows:

Modem: E5830
Model: Hauwei E5830/E583x
IMEI: 354103033344312
Serial No: Y84CAC1063007908
Firmware: 666.11.172.06.113sp01

It shows the SIM lock staus as unlocked but when I get to basic settings page, it does not allow me to alter the APN settings from 3gnet! I am at my wits end. Please help someone

you could try updating the firmware or go to the web interface 192.168.1.1 and then change the settings enter admin in both parts .if you get their you can alter settings in their and change things to suit.as long as you can connect to net .plug it in to your pc then go to the web browser .hope you have some joy.

Sure there is not original sim inserted to device when you detect it?
