Still having problem. Tried with another PC and the modem was autodetected allright. Still get errot 70 when trying to unlock. See log below. Please advice.

Could you contact us by live chat from web page? We would need some additional information from modem. Then we would be able to check more.

Something is taking the port. Maybe other modem or phone. Be sure the connection software for this modem is closed. Also check, if all drivers are installed.

Try to restart and do unlock again. Need to use Read Unlock code and auto enter to modem.
Unlocking again same modem does not require credits. Also, need to detect device by autodetect.

I failed to unlock a Huawei E398 using DC Unlocker 1.00.0597. I got the error code 70 doing so.

I used the default Unlock type "Read Unlock code and auto enter to modem" option. Is that the correct option to use?

The Unlocking menu shows the Do job button and 4 options to select
- Read Unlock code and auto enter to modem
- Read Firmware code
- Generate Unlock code by IMEI
- Generate Firmware code by IMEI

Can someone explain those to me?

BTW, the unlocker utility did not detect the modem automatically (recommeded). I had to select the modem (Huawei E398) explicitly ans also figure out ans select what ports to use.

Please advice how I should get my E398 modem unlocked.
