You guys unlocked my Huawei E1550 some weeks ago. It was originally an Austrian A1 dongle. I am on holiday in Sri Lanka and using it for the first time. The good news is that I can get it to work but each time I plug it in it starts up the A1 control panel and in 'My computer' (windows 7) two entries appear - Removable Disk F: marked A1 and Removable Disk G: Mobile Partner. I have to wait until the A1 software is loaded and then close it down but then I can connect. Its a bit cumbersome but who cares as it works!
Here is my problem. I need to top up after 1 week on the Dialog network and to do this I have to use the Mobile Partner software to send a text message to Dialog so I can enter the scratchcard number. The problem is that in Tools/Options/Text Message the SMS message centre number is greyed out and contains the A1 centre in Vienna so I cannot insert the Dialog one in Colombo.
I assume there is some software on the dongle that can't be overwritten but I thought that the DC unlocker process might have sorted it out.
Any help appreciated.
