Hi,
I have a Three Huawei E220 dongle and I have cancelled the mobile internet service from Three (it's due to finish in 2 days). I thought I might be able to use the dongle to access the internet if I put my Orange 3G SIM (from my Samsung Galaxy Europa) into it (my contract includes 500MB pcm), so:
- I downloaded and ran dc-unlocker: it reported "SIM Lock status : unlocked"
- I replaced the Three SIM with my Orange 3G SIM and connected the dongle to my laptop: it reported that there was no active SIM/USIM
- I downloaded and ran E220_Dashboard_WIN_HOSTB107D05SP00C03.exe to update the dongle's dashboard: the dongle continued to work with the Three SIM using the updated dashboard software
- I replaced the Three SIM with my Orange 3G SIM and connected the dongle to my laptop: it again reported that there was no active SIM/USIM
So, can anyone explain why it is that I can't use my (unlocked?) Three dongle with my Orange 3G SIM?
Cheers,
3g
