If you get this error, please check this:
    Make sure drivers are installed.
    Use latest DC-Unlocker client software.
    Use autodetect.
Make sure modem is not connected to internet.
Make sure modems connection software is turned off.
    Try restarting your computer.
    Try other computer.

      ok again...
      - trying another Windows (XP) Computer (still the most used system)
      - Restart
      - Vodafone Software is starting
      - interrupted Vodafone Software in finding the local provider
      - shut down Vodafone Software

      - opened dc-unlocker 2 client 1.00.0738
      - Select manufacturer = Huawei modems
      - Select model = auto detect
      - startet search
      Result:
      DC - unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0738
      Detecting card:
      selection:
      manufacturer - Huawei modems
      model - Auto detect (recommended)

      modem not found !
      The same happens when.
      - I take out the simcard
      - I select Vodafone K3770 in the dropdown menue.

      What's wrong?

          thanks for your help
          I'm a bit surprised.
Do I have to install another exe to make the software run?

In that case... where do I find the exe-file?

btw. I'm not a hacker and like to have clearly explained software.
Can it be that I have to enter more info like imei before I click the search button.
Because after the third try I clicked a bit around and found sth. like imei and thought not about it because the manual didn't say anything about it.

So I restarted the Laptop and tried again. Afterwards I didn't see the imei-menue anymore.

Now I suspect, that I should have put a number in before I clicked the search button.

          Obviously my credits are gone.
If I'm right... just send me new credits to my internal e-mail address.
          thx

First you need to install your Vodafone connection software (original one that comes with modem) - because modem drivers install with this software.
Then, when you install the software, you should turn it off (close it), and open Task Manager (right click on Taskbar>Task Manager).
Find mdm.exe process running there and click "End process" (if there is any).

As we have information, Vodafone connection software often leaves running processes in background without seeing them. So, you should check for other processes that are related with Vodafone connection software. For example "MobileConnect.exe", "VMCService.exe.", "VMBService.exe", etc.

No, you do not need to enter no IMEI numbers or other information.
You need to detect modem, then go to Unlock tab and click 'Do job' (by selecting 'Read unlock code and auto enter to modem".

If you already tried to generate unlock code by IMEI and you credits were consumed, then it is no problem - unlocking same device again for same user will not consume credits.

--> had a mobilebroadband.exe and shut it down
--> had a vmbservice.exe, shut it down, but it was popping up after 15 secs again... tried to detect it fast, but got a "modem not found" again.

btw. the only new process after connecting the modem is:
              mobilebroadband.exe

vmbservice.exe was in the list before I connected the modem

              other options?
