How do I check if my modem is locked/unlocked?

I downloaded the software, but it doesn't seem to detect my modem? Its plugged in and i'm using it right now to post this. I tried all the COMS available in the dropdown list with my specific model (K3715) and by auto-detect. What am i doing wrong??

Hello icantthinkofausername,

You need to have an internet connection that doesn't require the Wireless modem being used as your internet connection.

I use landline ADSL internet connection to unlock the wireless modem dongle.

correct selection :
manufacturer - Huawei datacards
model - Auto detect

Be sure modem is free of other operations, close huawei, vodafone software before detect, remove SIM.
