  • Huawei U8150 Cannot unlock from Virgin Mobile

    Hi

I have bought credits to unlock a Huawei U8150 locked to Virgin Mobile - Australia.

    I downloaded DC-Unlocker version 1.00.0738

Connected phone via USB cable - after holding down power on and the red and Vol - buttons for five seconds.

However when I go to detect the mobile this is the result:

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0738

    Detecting phone :

    selection :
    manufacturer - Huawei phones
    model - Huawei U8150

    Phone not found !

I have the Android Adb interface installed

    I also installed PDAnet

Can anyone suggest as to why it wont detect this phone?

    Welcome thoughts

    Thanks

How to detect and unlock this phone you can read here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei_u8...lock_procedure
Also,do not select model, use autodetect.

From the text that you copied (from DC-Unlocker), your phone is not in fastboot mode.
Please double-check the instructions how to put your phone in fastboot mode correctly and then try again detecting it.
Also, do not forget to install drivers from the link.

I also have the locked Virgin Huawei U8150-D. When pressing the volume end call and power buttions on start up the phone does not go into "fast boot mode" instead the phone tries to install a firmware update. An error message on the phone appears as follows:

          Firmware update
          Step1/2

          Unpacking

          Update failed

The Green, Red and D buttons are also blinking rapidly.

I have to remove the battery to power the phone down.

Found the solution... when I pressed the power up the phone went to firmware upgrade but power down went into recovery mode.

Yes, if firmware update starts, means phone is in wrong mode (not fastboot). So, you managed to detect it now? Is everything ok now?
