This phone must be unlocked in fastboot mode by following these instructions: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei_u8...lock_procedure

Install drivers from there also.

U8500 puts in fastboot mode this way:
Turn off the phone. Then press POWER shortly. Then press and HOLD Vol-, END and POWER buttons until your phone hangs. This will enter to fastboot mode. Then connect your phone to computer and follow the rest of instructions
