problem unlock huawei 8150 ideos

I have an identical problem: live in Sydney, have an Ideos 8150 locked to Virgin Mobile. The Virgin company has agreed to unlock it as far back as January, but they were unable to provide an unlock code which was acceptable by the phone. Same message comes up about "network subnet".

I'm looking for an update on this "network subnet' unlocking problem people have been encountering with the Virgin U8150.

As I understand it, you need to pay for 2 unlock codes: the first, a 'network unlock code', and the second, a 'SUBNET' unlock code.

Is this correct? Is there a particular procedure for the VIRGIN U8150 unlock, and where do I find a step-by-step guide for this 'double unlock' issue?

I really want to understand the process BEFORE I purchase the credits, etc.
