Try other USB cable.
Try other USB port.
Make sure phone is connected directly to USB port which is directly motherboard.
Or try other computer.

Then turn off phone, reinsert its battery, and then try again to detect it in fastboot state.

Also, make sure that the drivers from our procedure link are installed.
