Unlock E353

Here http://www.dc-unlocker.com/supported_models_1/huawei_1 I see that wee can unlock E353 device. But here http://www.dc-unlocker.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6694 Vincentas say that we can't.

So, can I unlock my E353 ?

As you see in the link to our forum thread, there are other version of E353 modem (its HiLink). These modems has something changed in their system so that DC-Unlocker cannot detect them and unlock.

But basically Huawei E353 is supported and can be unlocked with DC-Unlocker.

You should find it written on your modem.
Also, HiLink modem does not appear in computers Device Manager in "Modems" and "Ports" sections. It appears as USB mass storage devices.

If your modem appears in both in "Modems" and "Ports", it means you can unlock it with DC-Unlocker.

My model it's exactly E353Wu-1. It's a HI Link model or not ? It's an unlockable model ?

Right click on My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager.
If you see your modem under "Ports" and "Modems" then it is possible to unlock it.
If it appears as a CD (or USB mass storage device) only, then sorry, DC-Unlocker will not be able to unlock this modem.
