    Huawei E188

    Need help Huawei e188 Australia Optus

    recognized right by DC unlocker as below. But cannot be unlocked.

    The first several times, error code 70
    last time error code 166 as below
    Also got the unlock code from IMEI. It's the same code from dc unlocker and other huawei unlocking software. But the code doesn't work on this modem.

    Serial NR. : 6AA4CB11C0700062
    Firmware : 21.045.02.00.74
    Compile date / time : Aug 20 2011 10:22:39
    Dashboard version : UTPS21.005.20.02.74_MAC21.005.20.02.74
    Voice feature : not supported in current firmware
    SIM Lock status : Locked (Card Lock)
    Wrong codes entered : 6 (unlock attempts left : 4)

    unlock failed !

    Maybe there are other Huawei modems connected at the same time?
    Did you try to unlock it on other computer?

      no any other modem connected to this computer, will try tomorrow using another computer. Also is the modem will unlockable permanently after 10 failed attempts? thanks

        Unlocking this modem with DC-Unlocker will reset wrong codes counter.

          Do you see wrong code counter increasing after each attempt to unlock by dc-unlocker?
          If so, please stop unlocking because you may block it and contact us by live chat on working hours.
          We would be able to check more then.

            Thanks for quick reply. more info as below:
            1. Have tried on another 2 computers, vista and xp, same problem, error code 166, this modem has only 2 attemps left
            2. Tried another modem 2 attemps, same problem, error 166. 8 attemps left
            3. Tried with and without dc unlocker dangle, same problem.
            4. It seems different calculate formula there, unlock code from IMEI does not work on these modems.

            Also, don't know when's your working hour?

              First thing that you should do is stop trying to unlock, because you ay block unlock counter.
              Second, please contact us by live chat from our web page Monday - Friday from 11 to 17 gmt+2 and we would be able to check more.

                Huawei E188 Optus Australia modem is now supported and can be unlocked with DC-Unlocker (0877 version).
