  • DC-Unlocker tries to connect to internet trough the modem I want to unlock.

I am using wifi and want to unlock a huawei B970b through LAN cable. The DC-Unlocker detects the modem...

    Interface : 192.168.1.1
    Model : Huawei B970/E970
    IMEI : 355983031542341
    Serial NR. : ZJ6RAB1081100079
    Firmware : 726.11.00.17.116

But when I make it unlock it it says this:

    Error connecting to server !

    (error code 62)

    Error connecting to server !

I think it is trying to access internet through the modem itself instead of the wifi connection. So, how can I get it to use the wifi?

    Thanks.

Yes, you are right. router may be overtaking the connection.
Try to disable it's network adapter from control panel or device manager.
Or try to set priorities which connection windows should use.

I tried disabling the LAN adapter, but then the dc-unlocker couldn't detect the modem. Then I set the wifi adapter as priority internet connection. Now I can have the modem connected in the LAN adapter and use internet (before setting priorities, I had to unplug the LAN cable in order to have internet). Unfortunately, the dc-unlocker still doesn't detect the modem. It seems it looks for it through the internet connection. May it be so? I don't know what else to try.

Finally I managed to unlock it. Here is what I did:

1- Setting the LAN as priority connection.

2- Having the dc-unlocker detect the modem.

3- Setting the internet connection (which happened to be a phone used as a modem through USB) as priority connection.

4- Having the dc-unlocker check my user. I did it to be sure it could connect to the server. Probably this step was not necessary.

          5- Unlocking (AT LAST!) :-D

Unfortunately, another problem has arised: the connection settings are those of Vodafone and can't be changed. So it won't connect.

May anybody help me with this new issue?

          Thanks.

Try to create new profile, not to edit the existing.
Also, you may need to update firmware. This may solve editing problem.

              It works!

I added a new profile, as you told me. I didn't need to change the firmware.

              Thanks!
