  • Phone partly unlocked?

I unlocked an INQ Chat 3G phone today. Everything went quite fine, except that I had to remove the battery to restart the phone when asked by the software. The phone now accepts any SIM card, but its internet access is still locked. Even if I configure the proper settings for the new internet network access and make it my default network, it seems to be bothered by the original profile that I can't delete. Is there something to fix that?

Step by step guide for Huawei phone unlock

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0805

    Detecting phone :

    selection :
    manufacturer - Huawei phones
    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    Found Phone : 19
    Model : iNQ Mini 3G
    IMEI : 3516XXXXXXXXXXX
    Firmware : Q1-218H_V1.0.74_America_COM_201006121200

    ================================================== ========

Could it be related to the fact that is identified as a INQ Mini 3G rather than INQ Chat 3G? Does the firmware need to be flashed?

Your phone is not "partly" unlocked, its fully unlocked if you can use it properly.
Try to hard reset the phone, maybe it will help.

I can't use properly. The phone works with a "foreign" sim cards to make/receive voice calls only. It was NOT unblocked from the lock on the internet/wap network settings. The phone let you add new internet profiles, but it won't let go away from the default phone company/factory settings. That's why I saying that the phone is still partly blocked to the original phone company configuration.

DC-unlocker unlock phone to accept other provider sim cards. Other configuration is left to user.

So it doesn't really unlock the phone, it removes just the foreign sim card block. You should specify it on your site. In the current case, it is useless to unlock a phone that way and I would get the same results by buying a cheap throwaway phone in any convenience store. It is like telling you to take my car, but I only give you the door keys and no engine key. Sorry, but to go straight to the point, in the current state, I have to take it as I have been ripped off, plus the phone is only good for the garbage, unless I can find a actual way to unlock it elsewhere and I would have got more bang for my buck with any chinese generic phone off Ebay.

No, you did not understand me correctly. Dc-unlocker unlock phone to accept other sim cards. If phone accept other provider sim cards, it is unlocked.
To use other applications or software with phone you need to configure it by your self. Dc-unlocker can not do this and does not provide such service.
You may need to change browser to other version, to create new profile, change, enter new settings, change other software. This can not be by dc-unlocker and is left to user.

I see exactly what you mean, but what you're saying is the phone is sim-unlocked only and nothing more past, present and future. Everything else on the phone is still locked by the original phone company, its configuration/profile/settings cannot be changed and none of that cannot be unlocked by your software. I have to find a firmware/software update that the manufacturer doesn't want to make public.

In that case, unless I find the holy grail, I have no other choice that returning to the same point of view: wasted money on an useless locked phone.

If phone is locked, it accept only one provider sim card. Now (after unlock) phone accept all provider sim cards. Means phone is unlocked.

*DC-unlocker.com is only able to offer support in getting the modem or phone unlocked using the software. Further device configuration is left to user.*

It seems that we will never agree on the same definition of what is an unlocked phone. I was never asking for a refund, but after reading the terms you posted, I should do so. What you describe in this thread is SIM-UNLOCKING, not phone unlocking, and nowhere in the linked terms you define what is the actual service offered. I am not mad at you, rather not satisfied with I got. Probably, I would be ok with your actual offer, if I was someone who wanted to change its modem stick provider, but in the current case with the phone, I just paid for no good reason.
