Blocked Huawei E353wu-1

i have a friend of mine that came home from london to Nigeria with this modem huawei e353wu-1,so i came to the faq section and saw details on how to check de modem before buyn credit,all i saw was
Lock status (cardlocked)
Trial attempts 10(remaining tries 0)
i was wondering if i buy credit and try unlocking it will it unlock
because he toldme he tried codes upto 10times and it said the modem can only be used with the default network..please help what can i do? Becaz obviously he bought it from three.co.uk and i want to use it with mtn-ng....

Counter should be resetted during unlock process when unlocking with DC-Unlocker.
