  • removing files from the modem stick

    Is it possible to delete the files from the usb modem, what i want to do is delte the uk orange mobile partner software and put the generic mobile software so i get rid of the branding its just so anoying that everytime i insert teh stick it loads the orange partner..

    Yes you can,but no need to delete the orange dashboard,just run the unbranded mobile partner exe,then it will overwrite the orange dashboard.

      I have the mobile partner installed but soon as i insert the stick it load sthe orange files from the stick, there must be a way to access the filoes to delte them??

        Where did you intalled the mobile partner? You can insert mobile partner in to the modem.Then when you plug the modem,mobile partner will intall to the PC.

          cant install into modem just tried as it thinks its a cd.. so can't read or write, there must be a program out here on the internet to allow access to the storage side of the modem?

              its the e160e

              I do have a partner softwareon my pc that is generic un branded, but everytime i stickmodem in it wants to install the orange one and auto starts teh installer etc.

                Please go to this link http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/get/udV8IjE and download the unbranded mobile partner exe.After that plug your modem,close your orange connection manager,run the downloaded exe and follow the steps.thats all :-)

                  Thanks for the info, but i really want to try find a way to convert the CDFS file system to a FAT32 partition so i could put the unbranded mobile partner and my profile settings to the the stick, its not that its a problem using it this way i just want to do it..

                              Normaly when we are intalling the mobile partner,its intalled in the stick (Modem),Nothings special there.
