  • Can't unlock B970b (Vodafone)

Hi, I have bought a Huawei B970b from Vodafone, and I can't unlock it.

It has installed the retail vodafone firmware, with the factory default setup.

I have connected it to my computer normally, and I can access it on http://192.168.1.1 perfectly.

But when I try to find it with DcUnlocker software it can't find it.

I have used the same options than other people that says in the forum that it worked for them, but no way.

The device has the usb port locked so i must unlock it on lan. But as I said, there's no way to make the Unlock Dc see it, and it's connected all right because I can login it via the web tool...

Also tried to change to normal firmware, without Vodafone settings, but when I run the tool I downloaded in this page, it says the target firmware is older than the one it has installed on it. (It's curious that this software find see the Huawei while the unlocked can't)

    Any help, please?

Million thanks, and sorry for my English...

    Try to do this:
Go to Network connections, find your router there. There must be 2 devices from your router, one of them - Wifi. Disable Wifi and try again to detect with DC-Unlocker.
If that does not work, try to do the following:
Go to Network connections again, find your router there.
    Right click>Properties>Internet (TCP/IP)>Properties
    Change IP to: 192.168.2.1
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Ok>Ok.
Then try again to detect with DC-Unlocker.

      Million thanks!

As soon as I configured my computer with static IP in the same range of the router the Dc Unlocker found the router inmmediatly!

It only took few seconds to unlcok it.

      Million tanks again.
