The guide actually tells me to let the drivers install automatically on windows 7, but anyway I have tried both and the result is the same.

Are you using this guide - https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei_u...lock_procedure because it doesnt mention here that you need to install driver from phone.

Drivers that installs from your phone.

You mean in fastboot mode? If I uninstall all drivers and plug the phone in fastboot mode it installs the default driver automatically "USB Modem Phone ADB port". I cannot access the phone from the computer, there is no drive created. If this is the driver you mean I have tried with that also, and still no recognition from dc unlocker.

I read in some other thread that dc-unlocker may not support some firmware versions of the phone. How do I know if mine is supported?

Yes it may be so as well, but without detection i wont be able to tell you about yours. After you connect it to pc if it install drivers autoamtically install ones from guide as well.

Restart phone by removing battery and connecting it back.
then follow this procedure: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei_u...lock_procedure
Use drivers provided in link, not any others.
Also, use latest dc-unlocker version - 1024.
