Few Problems Getting to Know the Basic's

HI folks, noobie here, Having a few probs getting to know my way around.

I'm using a Huawai E180 dongle. Using the unlocker client every time I ran a 'detect modem' search, nothing was found.


Out of frustration I continued on regardless and tried 'Generate unlock code by imei' which to my surprise was successful and I now have the 'unlock code'

What do I need to do now to complete the job, will instructions follow by email later

If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.

After modem detected use auto read and enter unlock code function.

I assume the drivers are instaled as I use the modem all the time and have no problem connecting to the internet.

I used both the auto detect and the select model option and both failed to detect modem.

Have the lastest v of dc unlocker.

This may be the issue, the modem E180 that I want to unlock is the one I am using to connect to the internet as I have no 'live' alternative. Could this be the problem.

Just did a quick test. I disconnected from the internet and ran unlocker client.
and hey presto...

It says there, SIM status : unlocked. Does this mean that the dongle is now unlocked and don't need to use the unlock code that was generated last night.

Is there not original sim (sim from other provider) inserted at detect time?

Not sure what you mean but the original meteor sim is still in the dongle.

Your modem is locked. Need to use auto read an enter unlock code function and it will be unlocked.
