U8500 failing to unlock

Hello, I am trying to unlock huawei u8500 in fast boot mode...I am using latest version, but when I click scan, it shows :

DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0857

Detecting phone :

selection :
manufacturer - Huawei phones
model - Auto detect (recommended)

Fastboot version : 0.5
Product : MSM7x25

It loads upto 33%, then shows connecting to server message. Then message dissapears and then the whole program just hangs. If I hold volume - button while scanning, It the program does not hang, instead it shows "phone not found" after "connecting to server message".

Sometimes I get error 118, when i use older version, I get "unknown error". What the correct way to have this phone detected completely?

Did you try to unlock this phone in normal mode, not in fastboot?
Just turn the phone on normally, connect to PC, wait till phones drivers install, install PC suite (some drivers come with it), then detect and unlock phone with DC-Unlocker.
