Huawei E188 Optus Modem

Having trouble trying to unlock this modem. Tried IMEI Unlocking software, got the IEMI code but no luck. Tried DC-Unlocker, paid my tokens and got the same code. Same thing, no luck unlocking it. Am using the latest software from DC-Unlocker. Anyone else had any luck with these modems?

Detect modem with DC-Unlocker, go to Unlock tab. Select "Read unlock code and auto-enter to modem", click Do job.
After unlock is done, restart modem and use it.

Problem with E188 modem

OK, I must admit I am new to this. I have done as you suggested but I cannot seem to detect the modem.

I have installed the modem drivers

I have the Optus sim in the modem

Select Manufacturer says Huawei Modems

Select Model: says Auto Detect (Recommended)

Tried clicking on the magnify icon about 20 times and each time I get

DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0857

Detecting card :

selection :
manufacturer - Huawei modems
model - _Unknown Huawei modem_


modem not found !

What am I doing wrong? Thankyou in advance,

Select model "Autodetect".
Install all drivers, modems connection software - some drivers come with it.
Make sure modems connection software is not running.

Huawei E188 Optus Australia modem is now supported and can be unlocked with DC-Unlocker (0877 version).
