I have seen a few posts on the Telus E587 but no confirmation on this. Is the Telus E587 confirmed to be successful for unlock? Want to make sure of this before purchasing from Telus as I don't have any desire to use their network. Also not sure if anyone would know this but would the E587 work on Claro Nicaragua which I believe has similar GSM? (at least the GSM bands 850/1900 are the same for phone coverage but I'm not sure about their 3G coverage)

I will check if there was unlocked same modem before.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I haven't purchased this modem yet which is why I wanted to confirm it is unlockable before purchasing.

I was asking because there are always possibility that someone has some other, not supported version of modems.
Anyway, there are many E587 modems from various providers unlocked already with DC-Unlocker software.

OK...I did purchase the E587, and the software did find modem as shown below. Purchased my 10 credits then tried to unlock but keep getting same error shown below also.
I have put in a different 3g sim card, not belonging to the locked modem and still the same error message.
DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0879
Detecting card :
selection :
manufacturer - Huawei modems
model - Auto detect (recommended)
Found modem : E587
Model : Huawei E587
IMEI : 355898xxxxxxxxx
Firmware : 11.203.19.04.464
Hardware ver. : CP1E587M
Chipset : Qualcomm
Voice feature : not supported in current firmware
SIM Lock status : Locked (CardLock)
Wrong codes entered : 0 (unlock attempts left : 10)
Unlocking, please wait ...
(error code 62)
Error connecting to server !

Thank you
As with all solutions, the one that works seems so simple in hindsight. Based on your hint, the Huawei creates a Local Area Connection through the USB in Network Connections. All I did was right click and Disabled the connection and voila it Unlocked without a hitch. Thanks Beege. Lifesaver!
