Please can someone help

No matter how hard I try (2 days now) I just can't get my U8180 to go into fastboot..

How do you do it??? I have followed word for word the instructions... still no luck!

If way for u8180 does not work, try way described for other phone.

Thanks for that... Right I have finally managed that.. installed all the drivers etc... and now the unlocker client is saying this:


DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0884

Detecting phone :

selection :
manufacturer - Huawei phones
model - Auto detect (recommended)


unknown error (118)

It used say no phone found... so I guess it's progress... but what have I done wrong now?

It used say no phone found... so I guess it's progress... but what have I done wrong now?

Phone is not in fastboot mode.
Turn off phone, remove battery for 20 seconds. Place it back.
Press and hold Vol- button, then press Menu and Power. Hold all 3 buttons pressed for 10-15 minutes, till you see that phone is completely hanged.
Then, connect phone to computer, download these drivers: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/test/Puls...xp_w7_w764.zip
Follow these instructions how to install drivers correctly:
For XP: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei_u8...rocedure/winxp
For windows 7: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei_u8...procedure/win7
Then, after successful driver installation, launch DC-Unlocker software. Detect phone, unlock.

Something is blocking dc-unlocker. Check for software that may be blockking it. If that will not help, try other fresh computer.
