    Hi Alberto, K3520 Vodafone = Huawei E169
You can use original Huawei dashboard for this model, if you want

Like Alberto I have the Voda K3520. I have downloaded the Huawei software for E169 from Huawei, but keep getting error message when trying to flash the software.
      Any ideas?

1-Modem must be correctly installed (not only cd-rom device)
        2-Remove sim card
        3-Connect modem to usb port
        4-wait for o.s. plug&play detect it
5-CLOSE totally any software utility (vodafone, mobile partner-connect)

Thanks Fakiro, but still having problems here.
Everything removed from PC, plug in USB modem, wait for it to detect and then stop Voda software from running.
Then I run the new dashboard software and I get this
          (see huawei1.jpg).
After I start the wizard, I get this error message
          (see huawei2.jpg)

Am not sure why it won't run - your advice much appreciated

              Fakiro,
              U R a hero!
Finally got success in flashing the Voda software (its a very durable beast).
I did it by using another PC, but I followed your steps to the letter.
The key was to ensure I'd installed the Voda F/W on the PC before attempting to overwrite it. Strange but this didn't work on my laptop?

Anyway you deserve a medal - let me know if I can help you some day

                  Hi Fakiro I am also getting the same error message so may I ask;

                  1. Do u have to be connected to the net when you do this?
                  2. Does it matter the OS or SP
                  3. Before I upgrade I close the VMC software as instructed but during the upgrade the Vodafone MC icon starts showing again even though there is no sim and I haven't touched it is this a problem and how can it be resolved?

                    Hi,
                    1) Not, ...your PC can be connected to web via wifi or lan, but not with your dongle that you want upgrade (must be not in use)
                    2) even this question, better to avoid 64-bit systems if you want to update (xp suggested)
                    3) Try to remove VMC (vmc starts because dongle is detected again before being updated) and check all device drivers of the modem in pheriperals.
remember that modem must be correctly installed if you want upgrade...
