Unlock is grayed out - cannot unlock

I cannot unlock my UK Three Huwaei E586. When I log in with my username and password, the Unlocking option is grayed out. If I change to a non-Three (Telstra) SIM, I get the same problem. The details are listed here:

Latest version has problem unlocking these modems and show lock status as unknown(read failed)

You should use older dc-unlocker software version - 889 version insert not original sim card and repeat unlock.

Second,After I send a mail to service centre,access denied is fixed.
lastly,I have cradit , I had login success.But my "unlock button" is still unable.
I send mail to service centre,no respond.Who can help with this problam?

Thanks for your responses. Problem was solved by using the older version of the software as suggested. I also got stuck when I was unable to logon to the server but that was because my PC was defaulting to the attached E586 in attempting to connect to the internet. I fixed that by going into network properties and disabling it, forcing the system to connect to the internet by my usual router.

What sim card is inserted to device when you try to unlock? Original or not?

I could only unlock with a non-original SIM in the device.
