When I try to connect I get connection closed gracefully.

Tried on 3 different machines same response.

Try to check connection settings, like APN, login, password, other settings.
Check if there are no "2G only" or "3G only" selected.
Check if SIM card is working properly and is not corrupted.

I dont even get a dashboard install as it is the new HIlink modem it just opens my browser.
Never seen one before.

Then check the settings in admin panel in your browser.
