Trying to unlock Huawei e5331

Help! I'm a total newbie here. I watched the video, and downloaded the software. When I tried to open it (I have a Mac) it was all text. I don't know how to run it...

Another question. I bought this modem in the UK, but now I'm in Belgium. It won't work, and I didn't realize that I'd need to unlock it to use it here. Can I unlock it over here where it doesn't work?

Sorry, dc-unlocker work only on windows.
You can unlock in anywhere in the world. Just need to have internet connection. After unlock modem will work with all providers.

OK, I've borrowed a windows computer, and watched the video. When I click on the spyglass I get a message that says 'modem not found'. (Yes, the modem is turned on...)

I tried to put in the modem model and I got the same message. Please don't tell me to watch the video--it doesn't help with this problem...

Can you help me please?

Please check this:
Make sure drivers are installed.
Use latest DC-Unlocker client software.
Use Autodetect.
Make sure modem is not connected to internet.
Make sure modems connection software is installed, but not running.
Try restarting your computer.
Try other computer.

Also, for detecting routers this help:
Run DC-Unlocker as administrator (right click on DC-Unlocker > Run as > Administrator)
Right click on DC-Unlocker > Properties > Compatibility > Run in compatibility mode with Windows XP.

I've got credits purchased.
I've got the software I downloaded today.
I used autodetect (yaay! it worked!). I had the modem plugged into the computer by a cable...
I signed in.
when I go to 'unlock', the padlock is not clickable...

I think that the huawei may be overriding the wifi connection I'm using.

How do I make sure that the huawei is not connected to the internet? I made sure that the computer was connected to the internet through another wifi, but the huawei is showing as available as well. I tried everything I could think of, but I'm a Mac user, and don't know how to do all this stuff in windows.

Make sure that you detect your modem again with DC-Unlocker after you login.

Maybe you detected modem with original SIM card inserted, and now DC-Unlocker software detected your modem as "unlocked"?
If yes, make sure there is other providers (not original) SIM card inserted in modem.

To make sure that Huawei is not overtaking, you should do as these instructions say: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/HiLink_mo...nlock_tutorial (changing adapter binding settings).
Tutorial is made for HiLink modems, but should be working for your modem too. Same procedure.

Drivers should install from modem when you connect it to computer.
