Problems unlocking Novatel 2372

When I run the Client software, I get the following messages. I do not understand the modem detection message and I don't know what ODNA means or what an "invalid operator SIM" means. Please help.

For correct ONDA modem detection, please plug modem with invalid operator SIM inserted(PIN must be disabled). Wait till software starts the modem, close ONDA software and then you can detect modem with DC-Unlocker.

Success unlocking Novatel Mifi 2372 (Bell Canada)

I was successful after trying again. I did not need to do anything with the SIM or disable any PIN, so the original message wasn't clear or helpful, other than indirectly saying that the MiFi should not be connected to the 3G network and not running its WiFi service.

Here are the steps that worked:

1) I signed up on dc-unlocker and found out about and purchased (PayPal) the 15 credits needed to unlock the Novatel MiFi 2372.

2) I installed the free dc-unlocker client for Windows (I didn't see any Mac OS X version, but I have a Windows system as well).

3) I connected the Bell MiFi 2372 to my Win7 system via USB and did the install of the drivers and Mobilink3 software that is apparently included inside the 2372 (or maybe partly provided in Win7).

4) The Mobilink3 window launched but I did NOT click "Connect".

5) I then started the dc-unlocker client and performed the Unlock
