  • Novatel 2372 unlock

    I have recently unlocked an AT&T 2372.
DC-unlocker reports the SIM Lock status as unlocked and I tried a T-mobile Sim with it which was reported as unlocked.
However I just tried the modem in france with an Orange SIM and I couldn't get it to work.
The AT&T router landing page was reporting the SIM as locked and the led was flashing red.
Do I need a different firmware than the original ATT one?
I noticed that the SIM was requiring a PIN code when used in a phone when didn't see a PIN option with the ATT firmware.
    Could this be the problem?

    Thanks

I don't know about the Orange SIM card, but I have unlocked the ATT 2372 (ATT f/w, not generic) and I tried a Rogers (Canada) and Telus (Canada) SIM cards, and they both work and the ATT landing page reports them unlocked, and it is possible to manually select the network. I tried a Cingular card, and it says locked. So it really depends on the network, and the particular network SIM card. BTW, I had set APN to "broadband" for both Telus and Rogers, and nothing else, i.e, no code, p/w or authentication.
