Novatel MC950D Firmware

I have successfully unlocked my Novatel MC950D with you software. The data card was supplied by Movistar. I am still using the Movistar connection software which continues to work just fine after the data card was unlocked.

I have noticed that there is firmware available on your site for this data card which is version 3.18 (mine is 3.9) and wonder whether it would be worthwhile upgrading and whether the data card would continue to work with the Movistar connection software.

If there is no problem with your modem,why do you want to update it? Firmware update is not safe.

I just had a problem with firmware upgrade.
It failed when the program was trying to rest the modem.
No the modem had a fixed red light and doesn't get recognized by the compurer.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hola, tengo un modem novatel M950D de vomistar, lo he desbloqueado con dc-unlocker y hasta aqui todo bien, pero quiero utilizarlo con una
targeta de Simyo y no hay manera, despues de visitar varios foros, he visto este post y he intentado seguir las indicaciones, pero sin exito
siempre acaba diciendome que no reconoce la maquina, (device not found). He accedido a los archivos que tiene el modem de fabrica con vomistar
y estan bloqueados, aunque dc-unlocker dice que esta libre.
Agradecere sugerencias para resolver este problema. Lo que yo querria es tener el modem solo con el mobilink.

Ovation MC930D

I have MC930D with O2 logo. I flashed the connection software inside with the firmware in download section of dc-unlocker. The upgrade was successful, everything's fine til one problem: the CD-ROM won't show up. The modem still can be detected in device manager. Are there any specific AT Command for Novatel like in ZTE to enable its NAND Flash?

I have tried ZTE enable NAND Flash AT Command (AT+ZCDRUN=9), but the command wasn't supported with this device. Anyone can shed a light for me? Thank you guys.

If modem drivers and software is installed, you do not need cd-rom any more, thats why you may not see it.

Problem is i can't install software directly from its CD-ROM. I have to install mobilink separately. I can see the USB Mass Storage Device and Modems are correctly installed in Device Manager, but i can't see its CD-ROM even b4 i installed mobilink. It supposed to show CD-ROM right?

Novatel Wireless Ovation MC950D

Please Help, this is going to drive me crazy

I have Novatel Wireless Ovation MC950D bought from overseas (never network locked) before it was released in SA + 2Gb Advanced Data pre paid package from vodacom activated.

My problem is this:

I am able to only connect and get a UMTS signal with Novatels Mobilink Lite software and not HSDPA or HSUPA like I should be.

I then downloaded upgrade firmware from http://www.vodacom.co.za/services/vo.../downloads.jsp for the MC950D and also downloaded Application Software - VMC 9.3.6.zip and installed.

Connecting with VMC software, I got faster results on http://speed.vodacom.co.za/speedtest/ My best result so far was 3811kbps downlink and 966 uplink. Whereas with the Mobilink software I was maxing +- 3000kbps downlink.

Here's the part that is annoying the hell out of me. At some stage during my playing about with the firmware and software I was able to get a HSUPA connection instead of my normal UMTS which I have only ever got since +-8months of having my datacard.

I messed arround further and now cant get the HSUPA signal anymore.

Can any1 assist?

The second part of my question is why am I not able to get faster speeds?

I phone and confirmed with vodacom that the tower in my are is 7.2mb compatiable. Im staying in a very good coverage part of summerstrand in Port Elizabeth..? Could it be because my datacard is not set up correctly or is it because the tower is actually not 7.2mb enabled and vodacom is not telling the whole story?

Im determined to see some real results for the extra $$$ im paying for my Advanced package. I get the exact same results with the 3.6mb standard data package. So I might as well have bought a 2gb standard package.

Novatel MC950D Firmware

Hallo im looking for navigo v2 firmware. Its compatible with explay 355 365 but display driver lcd stay black wrong ddisplay lcd driver after instalation of rom i can connect with active sync. Nexx 3501 display driver is correct but it freeze in boot logo :/ Can someone help me with this??
