Hi, I tried searching for 'error code 72' on the existing treads but the '72' bit wouldn't register.
What is this error and how can it be resolved?

To solve error 63 you need to enter your username and password and press check login before detect and unlock.
Error 20 you receive becasue something is taking the port. Maybe connection software for this modem is not closed or other modem is connected to same computer.
Error 72 you receive, becasue you do not reconnect (restart) modem after previous error. Try to recconnect modem after error.Comment

Needless to say I am deeply disappointed as it seems the software has now buggered the dongle beyond any use whatsoever. Not only have i seemingly wasted my money on a service not delivered, but the dongle itself is completely buggered too. All this on top of the extra hassle I've had to go through running bootcamp as your software won't run on my mac which was NOT apparent before I purchased it.

If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.
Other modem may be also taking the port and may cause error.Comment

Yes, yes, yes and yes. It had no problem detecting the dongle before I tried unlocking it. It is only since I tried to unlock it that it can no longer be detected. As for the other modem taking the port- they were both running in tandem quite happily beforehand, and as I understand it an internet connection is necessary for the software to operate so I can't just disconnect it.
Any other suggestions?

Could you try to detect when only one modem is detected? Only try to detect. Do you see modem in device manager? In what sections of device manager you see it?Originally posted by lorna1 View PostComment
