globetrotter gprs pcmcia pc card

hi all jr_419
have a globetrotter gprs 1st generation but cant seem to get it going with windows do these cards have to be unlocked im trying to run it with a o2 broadband sim but not sure if this is possible also can anyone help thanks im lost jr_419
