What I have done so far ..
The AcerAspireOne AOA-150 has a selector switch, it's in the 3G & light is on.

Device Manager sees card as HP hs2300 HSDPA Broadband Wireless Module, Ports sees

Sierra Wireless Application Interface 1 on com7, there is no connection manager software

      installed.

      I downloaded all three 3G driver software , 3G_Acer, 3G_Qualcomm, 3G_Option; from Acer

      for AcerAspireOne AOA-150 netbook.

Using update driver in device mgr, tried all three and not able to load any drivers.

DC-Unlocker 2 Client 1.08.0309: detecting card, mfg Sierrawireless model - Auto detect - No

      card Found.

I know the MC mini-pci port works because the MC card that came in netbook works.

Where do I go from here? my next step.

New - I removed SIM card, rebooted, Found new hardware Wizard - HP hs2300 HSDPA Broadband Wireless Module.

DC-Unlocker Card not found; Device Manager sees card with yellow problem mark, same as before. I tried to load previous drivers no luck.

        What should I try next?

Does the modem work with original conenction software? Install the conenction software and driver, then try if it works. Then start dc unlocker software, close modems connection software, then try to detect using autodetect function. Chek in task manager, if the connection software is really closed.

I deinstalled it, and I haven't found it, to reinstral. The 3G card that came with computer, is now using a dial-up connection for access ..

The wierd thing is after I removed the SIM card, on reboot, now the found new hardware wizard sees the card as HP hs2300 HSDPA Broadband Wireless Module. but the DC-Unlocker see's the card on com7 but says card is not found.

I have auto backup .. I see if I can restore it.

What's next? Do I now need to buy the IEMI unlocked code, how do I complete the process. My card is Sierra Wireless MC8775, which is not included in your U-Tube instruction.

MC8775 is supported by DC Unlocker. You need 15 credits to unlock this modem.Credits you can buy here http://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy

First of all you have to detect the modem using DC Unlocker.

Unlock procedure is the same for all modems. You can try to install drivers from dc-unlocker folder (from folder you have installed dc-unlocker). Then close the modems connection software and try to detect modem using autodetect function.

I put the old Quadcomm card back in, got it reconfigured, deleted cisco magic networks as it was locking me out, to get wifi working.

I just had cataract surgery on last eye, things are really fuzzy right now. I'll be back in the saddle in a couple days.

I was surprised seeing my old Sierra 875U was tagged by Device Manager as MC8775.

Can you find sierra modem in device manager? Is it in modems and in ports sections? If it is only in modem or only in ports section, there may be driver problem. Modem must be in both device manager section if you want to detect it with dc-unlocker. If you see it only in one section, you can try updating driver from dc-unlocker folder.
If you find it in modems and ports sections then check the ports number it is using and try to enter them manually to dc-unlocker software.

Try installing the dedicated HP hs2300 drivers for this particular MC8775 - The generic or other OEM Sierra Wireless drivers does not support - VID:03F0 & PID:1E1D.
