  • Sierra 881u 3G failed

I got a sierra881u already unlocked and voice enabled through dc-unlocker software, the problem is my 881u only connect to gprs/edge connection, i tried to set it to 3g all, it can detect the network and has a symbol 3G but the 3G symbol is not in circle, whats that mean ? the network only shows for couple minutes and then "searching"

    please help, thanks in advanced

You should check the connection settings. Try other provider sim. Does it work on 3G?
Does other modem find 3G in your place?

It may be a modem problem, but it is not related to the unlock. Unlock is successfull, if modem accept other provider sim cards.

is there any way to fix it ? i tried different firmware but no luck, I also did dissamble the modem to see the antenna condition but everything seems in order, it's so weird that I can find the 3G network but can't connect to it.

oh well, thanks for your help, I think it's the MC8781 module problem, the GPS works fine tho.
