  • AC763S unlocked - any way to set APN?

I successfully unlocked my Canadian Rogers AC763S. Thanks!

I tried it with US T-Mobile, I can get on the network but I am stuck with 2G.

Is there some way to set APN or some other setting on this modem to connect at higher speeds to T-Mobile in the US?

Some more looking around; I should be able to set APN if I can get a serial app to connect. I've tried minicom (I'm running linux) and I get no response on any of the 4 usb serial ports that are created when I connect the modem.

    I am trying 115000 8-n-1.

Is this correct? What are the serial settings for this modem?

      Got it figured out....

It's the last port (highest number) at 115000 8-n-1.

      For posterity, here's some links:

Mods if you think this should be in a different location feel free to move it. Also I'd like to see a sticky APN thread, because apparently google is too hard to use. I thought I'd post this because it comes up alot and there isn't a single...

And here's what it looks like:

      AT+CGDCONT=4,"IP","fast.t-mobile.com","0.0.0.0",0,0
      OK
      AT+CGDCONT?
      +CGDCONT: 1,"IP","lteinternet.apn","0.0.0.0",0,0
      +CGDCONT: 2,"IP","internet.t-mobile.cz","0.0.0.0",0,0
      +CGDCONT: 3,"IP","epc.tmobile.com","0.0.0.0",0,0
      +CGDCONT: 4,"IP","fast.t-mobile.com","0.0.0.0",0,0

4 profiles, top one is for Rogers Canada, 2 is for T-Mobile Czech Rep, 3 and 4 are for T-Mobile US. Now I just have to travel there and test it all.

You can also create them from the web interface. (Something I found out after I set these up manually.)
