  • Sierra Wireless AC875 cannot unlock

I have a Sierra Wireless AC875 PCMCIA card that was a part of a pile of computer stuff I won on eBay. The card was provided and is badged as Big Pond (Australia). There is a sim card inserted, and the card does detect in Windows Device Manager on my XP Pro SP3 laptop, and also in the dc-unlocker program. The latest firmware was already installed, and the BigPond connection Manager detects the modem as not yet registered. Below is the response to the auto-detect by dc-unlocker

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0460

    Detecting card :

    selection :
    manufacturer - SierraWireless
    model - AirCard 875

    Found modem : AC875
    Model : AirCard 875
    IMEI : 352822012500139
    Firmware : H2_0_7_1BACAP
    Serial NR. : X29079703871119
    Voice feature : disabled
SIM Lock status : Locked (PH-NET PIN)

Be sure no SIM inserted at unlock process !

If I try unlocking with the sim installed, then the following error occurs.

    Unlocking, please wait ...

    unlock failed !

    (error code 39)

    Need remove SIM !

When you remove the sim card, the modem does not detect in the dc-unlocker or in the Windows Device Manager.

    Detecting card :

    selection :
    manufacturer - SierraWireless
    model - Auto detect

    card not found !

How do I unlock the card without the sim inserted, if the card is only detected with the sim inserted??

Could you try to unpdate drivers from dc-unlocker folder? It may be drivers problem that dc-unlocker can not detect it.
