I did that and still no luck, further changes seemed to finally allow the 781S to unlock.

Set device subnet mask to 255.0.0.0

Was using WiFi for internet connection and the adapter was on a USB port, had to disable the USB WiFi adapter.

Connected up wired Ethernet to network adapter.

On the network adapter created by the hotspot, I changed the adapter settings to:
192.168.0.123 IP
255.255.255.0 SUBNET MASK
192.168.0.1 GATEWAY

192.168.1.1 DNS (Pointed to my actual internet gateway) was necessary to not get error 62 when trying to talk to servers..
