How do I stay online when connected to MR1100? + App crashing when trying login :(

The DC app is able to see my MR1100 when tethered via USB and when my wifi is off. However, when I turn wifi back on, I lose internet connection and can't try to login to use my credits. Wifi IP is 192.168.4.46 so should be fine/different enough from MR1100, correct? Running Windows 10 Home on a Surface (Intel Atom CPU).

Separately, when untethered from MR1100 and with wifi back on, the DC app crashes every time I try out my login to use my credits. I have version 1.00.1436.
