MR5100 Modem not found - over a month of trying this - HELP Please

  • MR5100 Modem not found - over a month of trying this - HELP Please

    I am trying to get into my mr5100 I keep getting modem not found -
    I have changed the Subnet ip
    I do not see the modem in devices
    I have set to and tried both tether on and off and with and without wifi
    I scan and try other things and scan again...
    I am connected to the internet with hotspot to my phone while doing this.... FYI
    I need access to the bands -
    I am in canada
    Any help is appreciated!

      "I do not see the modem in devices" - Do you mean in device manager on a computer it is not visible? If so then either cable is bad or the device is set to only charge in its USB settings. By default when you plug it in with a charging cable it must pop up under the network adapters section in the device manager.

          The first thing you should check then is a device manager on your computer and see there what happens (if anything) when you plug your device via the USB charging cable that came with the device.

            yes i see the device in device manger. plug in it pops up i un plug and the icon disapears.

              Yes, but under what section it appear there? Also, make sure on the device it is not set to only charge but to charge and tether. Computer must be running Windows natively, won't work on Mac with virtual windows etc.

                It will work with a usb-c but one that can transfer data like one that goes to a Ledger Nano-X
